Kingaroy Refrigeration is located in the South Burnett with a versatile Commercial, Industrial and
Domestic footprint that extends across Southeast Queensland. We are the biggest of our kind in our area and are proud to be 100% local.
Our team consists of a range of different personalities who all bring their own passion and specialty to their role. We are a teaching company and employ 7 current apprentices, all at varying levels. We encourage honesty, knowledge sharing, and passion for the job.
What are the details of the work to be performed?
Whilst we work primarily in the commercial refrigeration side of the industry, at times we work on any of the following equipment in the industrial side and even domestic. This includes installation, maintenance and breakdown repair. The applicant does not need to be an expert in all of these, as stated, we are a teaching company and are happy to share knowledge and train the right candidate.
• Air conditioning (of all types)
• VRF
• Fridges
• Freezers
• Cold Rooms
• Freezer Rooms
• Commercial refrigeration (big 2 or more door fridges and freezers in places like Woolworths and IGA)
• Chillers
• Sundae Machines
• Frozen drink machines, soda machines, water coolers and beer chillers and taps (and anything similar)
• Morgue Chillers
What Qualifications are required for this role?
• Certificate 3 in Refrigeration
• Restricted electrical licence
• Manual Car licence
• White card (Not essential)
• Working at Heights certificate (not essential)
• All your own personal hand tools
What is Position Description?
We are looking for an experienced refrigeration technician to join our team. At Kingaroy Refrigeration, you will be responsible for completing work orders, installing new refrigeration and air conditioning systems, troubleshooting mechanical failures, and performing equipment maintenance. You may also be required to advise on equipment upgrades and or parts required for repair.
To ensure success in our company, you should have knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems, good mechanical skills, and excellent troubleshooting skills. You work well within a team and can teach others.
You are open to on-call work and will be expected to become of the on-call roster on a rotating basis with other tradesmen.

• Competent and confident in carrying out installation, maintenance and repairs on refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
• Professional communicator with office staff, suppliers and customers.
• Understand the importance of compliance with legislation, regulations and our policies and will
have a track record that demonstrates you are always focused on keeping yourself and our customers safe.
• Proactive, innovative, are willing to attend to menial and more exciting tasks with the same attitude i.e., you will complete all the required paperwork associated with our industry/your job.
• Follow instructions and work well within a team.
